Florida-specific FAQs

Common questions about online therapy in Florida.

Is online therapy legal in Florida?

Yes. Florida law allows licensed mental health providers to deliver telehealth services to clients physically located in Florida. Bare Soul Therapy is led by a Florida-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

What cities in Florida do you serve?

Because therapy is virtual, I work with adults located anywhere in the State of Florida — including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Tallahassee, Sarasota, Naples, Gainesville, Clearwater, and Cape Coral.

Do I need to be in Florida during sessions?

Yes. Florida licensure laws require that you be physically present in the state during each session. If you travel out of state regularly, we can talk through options during your free consultation.

How much does online therapy in Florida cost?

Sessions are $175 for individual therapy and $185 for couples and sex therapy. Insurance is not billed directly, but a superbill can be provided for out-of-network reimbursement.

Do you accept insurance?

Due to the highly sensitive nature of this work, I do not accept insurance. If you have private insurance and would like to use your out-of-network benefits, you will be provided with a receipt of services that you may submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. It is advised that you call your insurance company to verify out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health services.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your scheduled session will incur the full session fee. No show appointments will be charged the full session fee. I will not wait more than 15 minutes past the hour of your scheduled session: if you are late to a session at or after this point, you will be responsible for the full fee of the session.
