Hi, I'm Dr. Negin! I am a relationship and AASECT- certified sex therapist. I hold a PhD in Clinical Sexology, a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a certification in sex therapy. I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen. My work centers on helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of relationships, form a stronger sexual connection with themselves and others, and move through life transitions with greater clarity. Whether you're untangling old patterns, exploring who you are, or learning how to show up more fully as yourself, you are one step closer to where you want to be!

While I work with clients who are navigating a wide range of relational and sexual concerns, I am passionate about working with clients who are experiencing sexual functioning challenges, such as low or diminished libido, desire discrepancy, sexual shame, and difficulties with sexual communication. Since I believe that sexual well-being and relational health are often intertwined, I work with couples to restore emotional intimacy, repair old wounds that never got addressed, and find more effective ways to express themselves.

I also enjoy working with clients who are exploring the dating landscape or trying to heal from a recent breakup. In individual therapy, I support clients in addressing perfectionism, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem so they can rediscover who they are and how they want to lead their lives, beyond these challenges.

My approach blends evidence based practices rooted in human connection. I draw from modalities such as attachment-based frameworks, mindfulness-based strategies, mind-body practices, and parts work, but I tailor every session to the person in front of me. I bring a trauma informed, culturally responsive, and sex-positive approach into my work with clients.

Many clients come to therapy feeling exhausted--trying to hold everything together, feel the pressure to perform, and fear burdening others. Here you can slow down, be honest, and explore what is really going on beneath the surface. I believe that healing happens in the presence of an emotionally safe, empathetic, and attuned connection between the client and the therapist. You don't have to handle anxiety, depression, perfectionism, or relationship issues—like sexual desire differences, conflict, sexual shame, and emotional disconnection alone. Your story, lived experiences, and feeling matter to me and all those elements deserve to be witnessed, honored, and held with care. Your past can serve as a compass point to guide the decisions you make today for a better future ahead.

Regardless of where you are in your healing journey, head over to the contact page and let's get started!
